How we work: a process that doesn't let errors slip through
A good translation isn't a matter of talent; it's a process. We built ours by working for the most demanding school of documentation, the Japanese one, for over 20 years, and we tested it on 85 million words. We use it to evaluate every project: our own and those of others. Below, you'll find a detailed description of what happens to your text from the moment we provide a quote until we send it back to you.
Step by step
- Document analysis. We process the file, counting words, repetitions, and matches from the translation memory. We assess which service level best suits the content. That's how we provide a fair quote within 24 hours.
- Preparation. Glossary and style brief: Your terminology, writing conventions, and tone. For the first project, we build them from scratch, and with each subsequent project, we update and improve them.
- Translation. Depending on the level: the Bridge platform, Bridge plus human post-editing, or a specialist translator from the very first word.
- Quality control. Independent revision by a second person at the Premium level, always tool-based QA: numbers, tags, segmentation, and terminology consistency. We classify errors according to their severity: critical, major, minor. A critical error cannot pass.
- Delivery in a 1:1 format and rounds of corrections included in the price. We add feedback to the glossary, so the next project starts right where the previous one left off.
Translation memory: Your asset, not ours
Everything we translate for you is stored as sentence pairs. A new document first goes through this memory: you pay a fraction of the price for what has already been translated, including any repetitions within the file. For documentation that undergoes frequent revisions and product catalogues, this is typically the biggest area for savings, which you'll see reflected on your invoice starting from the second order. The memory and glossary are yours: if you ever leave, you take them with you. We believe this is what fair cooperation looks like.
Deadlines we stick to
We deliver 99.98% of projects on time. This isn't a slogan; it's a number from our project system. Once we confirm a date during the quotation process, it's set in stone. Should anything threaten it, you'll know right away, not on the delivery date.
One dedicated account manager, no support tickets
Your project is managed by a specific person, with a name and email address, from the initial quote to the final invoice. You ask questions to your contact person, not through a form.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, we will take them over and maintain them. This is the best possible start to our collaboration.
Automatic: checks for omissions, numbers, glossary terminology, and consistency. At this level, a human does not read the text, which is why it is the most cost-effective option. Therefore, we do not recommend it for content intended for publication.
They remain on our infrastructure in the EU for translation memory purposes, unless the contract states otherwise. We don't train models on them. Upon request, we delete all data after the project is closed.
